LOVE IT!
of course.
I've been considering re-painting my bedroom with a striped wall....any thoughts?
Too much? Just a little feature wall behind the bed? a subtle stripe....maybe a very light grey?
I'd love to hear your opinion :)
I love stripes, and quite frankly, I don't care if they go out of style.
I think they're classic.
This bedroom just looks so dreamy to me...subtle stripes.

Ange at "Chair Up" has these gorgeous striped walls in her home. I love her eclectic style and how she paired the lovely pink floral chair with the bold grey stripes.
Another bold grey and white striped wall....from Apartment Therapy.

I love those stripes! I am really into nautical. How cool would it be to have a nautical-looking house. I would love to do a dresser in stripes!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration!
XOXO

i love stripes as well but not too much. i think doing an accent wall would be beautiful. i like the idea of doing a flat paint of a color and then a stripe color that has a sheen to it. so pretty! great post!
ReplyDeletelove stripes on a wall....we have them in our daughter's room...
ReplyDeleteyou could do the same color of grey just with different finishes if you want it to seem less obvious.
do the whole wall in one color with a satin finish and then do your stripe in a flat. we've done it in another home and loved it!
our daughter's room now is two shades of green..same color scheme just one color down from one another on the swatch.
pics of her room are in my archives....
I also love stipes !!! beautiful post........have a beautiful week darling......love Ria.........
ReplyDeleteI got all excited when I saw the word 'stripe' in your post title Tracey so you can imagine my glee upon scrolling down and finding a link to my blog! Thanks so much for the kind words.
ReplyDeleteI say go for it in your bedroom (that came out wrong but you know what I mean right?)

STUNNING!!! light grey, one wall, and the chair from the first picture:)...pillows of course..........other wall with lots of photoframes...........
ReplyDeleteOh I am with you on this one! I adore stripes..I painted pale yellow stripes in my daughters room a few years back..nice wide ones..only one one wall. Turned out amazing!
ReplyDeleteGo for it!
Hugs for a great day. xoxo
The house that we are hoping to buy has a striped wall in the dining room. It is done like Anitra talked about: flat and sheen with the same color. It looks really great, unfortunately it is in the wrong color for me and I will have to paint over it!
ReplyDeleteI like the first one best:) its subtle and romantic. But I would've put the florals in that room not the circlet chair. Its a fantastic trend right now go for it! You can ALWAYS paint over when you're bored.
ReplyDeleteI love the grey stripes with the pink floral chair - a great color combo...
ReplyDeletebig bold stripes are so dramatic and fun!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea, especially if it was soft and romantic like your inspiration photo from Coastal Living. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI saw this trendspotting page from Style @ Home too and I'm loving the striped dresser... love the curvy lines of the cabinet paired with the linear painted lines. So fab!
Hope you're well Tracey!

I also thought of you when I saw that page in my magazine! Go for the stripes, I love that look on walls.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these striped walls so much Tracey! I wish our home did not have all the original lanelling trim and chair rails as I wouls love to have stripes on at least one wall! Gorgeous:) Hope you are having a wonderful week ~ Tina xx
ReplyDeleteI think if I was going to do stripes on the wall, I would go bold. It really makes a statement.
ReplyDeleteAll such lovely examples!! I particularly loved the subtle stripes running horizontally, they look stunning!! I have to agree with you, stripes will never go out of style :)
ReplyDeleteNancy
I too love the idea of subtle stripes for your bedroom! Go for it! LOVE the room by Chair Up, adding the photo to my inspirational tumblr files!
ReplyDeleteVisited your etsy site, love your paintings and plates!
i like the idea of satin and flat of the same color! never would have thought of that! but that of course may not be enought for a stripe addict like yourself! :)
ReplyDeletei think you should go for it behind your bed...the first thing you see when you walk in...
i'm in the process of figuring out which grey/green/blue to repaint our room too...so hard to make a decision sometimes!!
