I was craving a brighter living room....I think it's because spring is in the air! I ordered some inexpensive slipcovers and I'm thrilled with them! I need to iron them, and alter them to fit my furniture properly, but I just couldn't wait to try them on! I'm still in the process of moving everything around, trying to find what works best....the leather bench/toy box doesn't seem to work so well anymore, but it's full of toys and I have nowhere else to put them. The little white table was a thrift store purchase ($3!) that I painted last week, but it's a little small for a coffee table.

Hi, thanks for commenting on my blog! I actually like the leather ottomon bench. I think it looks nice contrasting the white slipcovers (which look great by the way!). I really love your animal rug, and the chalkboard wall from another one of your posts! You have a beautiful family!
ReplyDeletethe slipcovers worked!!looks great trace!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you stopped by. I love your blog name and your family is precious! I recently did the same with chair slip covers for my sun room (where my little one eats, plays, watches tv etc) but have yet to alter them to fit a bit better. I'm too busy removing and replacing them every week for the wash! Your new white room is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLovely blog...I'll be back to visit. :-)

ReplyDeleteOh so lovely!! A cup of tea and we could chat a long while in that room.
ReplyDeleteLove your white slipcovers! I want to order some. Where did you buy yours?
ReplyDeleteOh, I would so LOVE to do white denim slipcovers, but the cleaning of them scares me. I have a khaki chair that hardly ever gets used, and I'm constantly cleaning stuff off of it. I'm leaning towards a darker color slipcover, but I really WANT white. Your room is beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog. Very cute and love your living room. Where did you get your slip covers? I had some for an old couch and want to get some for my new one. I'll be back. kath

ReplyDeleteFollowed you from the Pink & Polka Dot McLinky thread. Love your style! And - like everyone else, I HAVE to know where you got your white slipcovers. I've been searching high and low for white slipcovers all over town and the 'net. Puh-leeze share!! :) Looking foward to reading more.
ReplyDeleteJust lovin' all that white, it is bliss!
ReplyDeleteok, so i've poked around a bit and am really enjoying your blog! new follower here...and we definitely have a lot in common with the white. I refinish/restore furniture and almost every piece is white. We're in the middle of an attic reno and my office is going all white with one aqua dresser. :) come visit if you'd like! -shaunna
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! I found it through Morning T's post today. You have adorable children and a beautiful home! I LOVE your slip covers. Where do you find them?
ReplyDeleteOk, I came because your give-away was on Rubies Place blog. I love the pictures.
ReplyDeleteI came back to add you as I am a new follower, and I was wondering where you were able to get the new slipcovers. I have been looking high and low and have come up empty handed. I have one on the cough but it is in need of replacement. I am going to love seeing more pictures.
ReplyDeleteI have been to your blog before & re-arrived via Dreamy Whites. Just wanted to let you know that those slipcovers look amazing! They are so practical with little ones!! Also, I kind of like them un-ironed (is that a word?) & a little unkempt. I guess it looks cozy!!!
ReplyDeleteYOu space looks absolutely beautiful! I actually had slipcovers in white made for my furniture two years ago.... it cost me a $1000.00 but I loved them... except that I have DOGS that always get on the furniture and they got them filthy in a matter of hours... I was washing and bleaching them every week or throwing blankets on them to try to keep them clean (and the blankets looked horrid!!)...so, I finally got rid of that furniture and threw the slip covers out.... bought dark furniture and chase my dogs out of the living room constantly... lol! I wish my room looked more like yours!!! :-)
